Music of the week: Guilty Pleasures.

As those who read my blog or know me in person will know, music is a huge passion of mine; listening to it, reading about it, discovering it. I only wish I could play it! – maybe a bucket list item hey? I’d like to think I have a good taste in music; a varied, broad, pretty cool taste in music to be more detailed. However, today’s blog flips that idea completely on its head…

Guilty pleasures… We’ve all got them! The songs that sit in the shadows and dark corners and only come out to play when you’re on your own, in the shower, in the car or on a run. What is it about a good old cheesy song that we love so much? They’re the songs we don’t tell our friends about, until that moment you both accidentally sing along. They’re the songs that we frantically try to skip if we’ve been brave enough to press “shuffle” at a party or gathering. They’re the songs we secretly couldn’t live without, because let’s face it, trying to be ‘cool’ all the time is hard work!

I’ve compiled a 15 song playlist of my best (or worst!) cringe worthy, spine tingling guilty pleasures below. I actually can’t believe I’m putting myself out there like this, but there must come a point in life where you must just think, ya know what, I like this and I don’t care who knows it!

Embrace the chedder people, I’d love to hear some of your favourite guilty pleasures so feel free to leave a comment!
